Way before the light
I’m waiting by the window
Who will be the first
The first to break the silence?
Who will it be?
Who will have their say?
The Robin or the Song Thrush
Heralding the day
The music starts
And fills my heart
Alone with the new day
It fills my heart
Behold the chorus
As old as time
As fresh as new life
Taking me back, driving me on
Taking the dawn by storm
The melodies rise
I lean out of the window
And if I could do it
I’d leave the sill and fly with you
My heart is there
I’m soaring above the world
These moments I’ll keep
This joy will not grow old
I step through the door
I join with you and soar
Alone with the new day
It fills my heart
Behold the chorus
As old as time
As fresh as new life
Taking me back, driving me on
Taking the dawn by storm
The Starlings, the Warblers and all
Knowing that life goes on for us all
The greatest time to be alive
The gift of living from the skies
Oh, alone with the new day
It fills my heart
Behold the chorus
As old as time
As fresh as new life
This nature’s joy
The gift from the skies
Wings take flight
Voices raised
Takes me back, drives me on
Forever glad within your song

This is one of the best interpretations I've heard of Genesis music, Pete would have made an excellent replacement vocalist for the band itself, he has a lovely feel for the songs, and a perfect voice for the material Colman Jones

BBT are standard bearers for modern prog, with a sound that evokes the spirit of those legendary 70s bands whilst managing to also be thoroughly contemporary. It's astonishing that over 30 minutes of music of this quality, with such high production values, is being made available for free - and their full albums are also very reasonably priced... An amazing reinterpretations of old Genesis classics. Even "Invisible touch", in my opinion one of the worst songs by Genesis, in this album is a little gem. You can almost imagine Steve Hackett on classical guitar. mario1984
