“The westering sun which filled the atmosphere with flame throughout the day, was now wildly setting; and, as he sank behind the hall, its varied and picturesque tracery became each instant more darkly and distinctly defined against the crimson sky” Rockwood : William Harrison Ainsworth
Imaginings from a gothic dreamscape. Romance, passion, lust and of course a quickening heartbeat of unexpected danger. Memories and infatuation. In dreams crimson skies are most associated with turbulent and tumultuous times.
lyrics
CRIMSON SKY
A still voice in a turning world
The rising of the tide
A full moon in a tortured sky
Soon you must decide
Chorus
Touch the Crimson Sky
Feel the reason why
It burns of true emotion
Kill the ghosts inside
They have always lied
While words remain unspoken
Walk through cold remembered gates
Devotion lies inside
Choose now by the waterfall
Memories cast aside
Chorus
Dreams become so real
You begin to feel
Furnace of desire
Burns you in the fire
Chorus

Absolutely hooked on this album from first listen. How rare is that with prog!??? Excellent songwriting and musicianship. Can’t wait to dive into the rest of the collection. Thomas Lock
In the wake of buying the Welcome To The Planet I also went for this older "EP" (clocking in on 70 minutes a rather big big EP...) as a final farewell to a very bright bright star that sadly doesn't shine anymore. Carsten Pieper
BBT are standard bearers for modern prog, with a sound that evokes the spirit of those legendary 70s bands whilst managing to also be thoroughly contemporary. It's astonishing that over 30 minutes of music of this quality, with such high production values, is being made available for free - and their full albums are also very reasonably priced...
