Libby: Sometimes we can have a recurring problem that makes us feel like we’re going round in endless circles. Often that may be a physical or mental health issue, in my case it's recurrent ovarian cancer.
However that is no more difficult to deal with than any other life-limiting illness. I am no braver, stronger or more inspirational than anyone battling any other serious illness.
Of course we don’t live in a vacuum and our suffering affects the lives of those close to us as well.
Dreams and plans for the future become uncertain. There is loss of the life we had hoped to live and grief for that loss. So we try to live in the moment where sometimes we can find peace and even joy.
I wanted to write a song based on my own experience that I hope will speak to anyone dealing with something similar.
This one is for you with love.
